Karaagre Vasate Lakshmi is a morning prayer addressed to the three Tattvas of Wealth, Knowledge, and Power. It is spoken as a person awakens.
कराग्रे बसंती लक्ष्मी कर मध्य सरस्वती|
कर मूले तू गोविंदं प्रभाते कर दर्शनम्||

Kara-Moole Sthitaa Gowri, Mangalam Kara-Darshanam
On the fingertips sits the goddess Lakshmi. At the heart of the palm, Goddess Saraswati lives.
Goddess Gowri resides at the base(wrist) of the hand; it is prescient to observe the hands (at the beginning of the day)

KaraAgre: Beginning of the hand; Agra=beginning
Vasate: Resides
Lakshmi: Goddess Lakshmi; the deity of wealth, beauty
Kara-Madhye: In the middle of Hand(Palm); Madhya=middle
Saraswati: Goddess Saraswati; the deity of Knowledge, wisdom
Kara-Moole: In the base of the hand(wrist); Moola=base
Sthitaa: Sit/Exist
Gowri: Goddess Gowri/ Parvati; the deity of Power, strength
Mangalam: Auspicious
Darshanam: Seeing
